FortiDude change log update sprint9

October 19, 2026 | Morning Update

Machine Management and Multi-Platform Development

This morning’s FortiDude update expands project management across multiple development machines. With the addition of machine registration and project location tracking, FortiDude can now help organize where projects are developed while keeping Sprints, Punchlists, and Gates together.

What’s New

1. Machines Button — main.php

Added a new Machines button to the main FortiDude interface, providing access to machine registration and management. Development machines can now be identified by name and associated with projects.

2. Machines Column — Projects Catalog

Added a Machines column to the projects table, allowing developers to see where each project is located without opening it individually. Projects may be associated with more than one machine.

3. Development Machine Dropdown — Sprint Entry Form

Added a Machines dropdown to the Sprint entry form. Developers can select the machine hosting their project when entering or updating Sprint documentation.

The dropdown uses registered machine names to maintain consistency and reduce confusion.

Development Machine Responsibilities

FortiDude’s development environment is now organized around two primary machines:

MachinePrimary responsibility
distributedaiWebsite development, PHP/MySQL applications, SaaS platforms, and web services
mac-miniFlutter application development for iOS, Android, and Ubuntu Touch

This separation allows each machine to focus on its intended development environment while FortiDude maintains centralized project documentation.

Machine assignments remain selectable rather than permanently restricted, allowing projects to move or expand between development environments when necessary.

Why This Matters

Until now, most development work was centered on distributedai. With the Mac Mini joining the development environment, projects need a clear home.

FortiDude’s new machine management features help identify where development takes place, especially when returning to an older project or working across multiple platforms.

The changes also establish the foundation for retrieving FortiDude project documentation from another development machine using a simple curl command.

Summary

This update introduces machine registration access, project location visibility, and development machine selection during Sprint entry.

distributedai handles websites and SaaS development, while the Mac Mini handles Flutter applications for iOS, Android, and Ubuntu Touch.

FortiDude remains the central location for project planning, Sprint documentation, Punchlists, and Gates, without becoming an unnecessarily complicated project management system.
